Favorite Disney Character: Moana – because she is a strong, independent women who loves the ocean and her family and wants the best for them.
Favorite theme park: Animal Kingdom because I love the more relaxed openness of the park and the various rides and experiences the park has to offer.
Favorite theme park ride: Avatar. The freedom that this flying ride offers is out of this world!
Favorite local attraction: Disney Springs – what a wonderful place to visit for shopping and restaurants!
Favorite local restaurant: T-Rex Cafe. It has a great atmosphere for the kids with a dinosaur and aquarium theme throughout the restaurant and the cheesiest pizza in the world (according to my son).
Top packing essential: My neck pillow.
Best travel tip: Roll up each item of clothing when packing. This saves space and keeps things as crease-free as possible.
Favorite vacation home feature: An awesome, relaxing pool area for some fun in the sun.
Fun fact about me: I enjoy knitting and doing cross stitch.
Most rewarding part of my job: I really enjoy taking photos of the homes and being able to showcase a home in its best light possible. I love to highlight everything the home has to offer.
ABOUT MICHELLE
Tell us a little bit about yourself Michelle?
I’m Michelle, originally from sunny South Africa but now calling Scotland home with my husband, Shaun, and our two energetic sons, Ewan and Riley.
How long have you been in Scotland?
We’ve been here for 11 years, soaking up the friendly people, magical scenery, and – of course – the endless opportunities for snapping breathtaking photos!
What experience do you bring to your role at White Rose Villas?
I first set off in the Travel and Tourism world, dreaming of globetrotting adventures. Right out of college, I joined a company that sold cruises, and before I knew it, I was on my first cruise around the Caribbean. What an experience!
Along the way, I realised I had a camera in my hand nearly all the time. My love for photography grew with every trip, especially when I got to photograph lions, giraffes, elephants, and hippos on an unforgettable holiday in Botswana’s Okavango Delta and the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Talk about a photographer’s paradise!
How did you join White Rose Villas?
After moving to Scotland, I joined the team, helping guests to make memories in beautiful vacation homes.
It was shortly after that when I ventured fully into property photography, capturing everything from rentals and sale properties to luxury vacation homes. There’s nothing like finding that perfect angle to make a property shine!
What do you hope to bring to the role in the future?
Now, I’m thrilled to be collaborating with White Rose Villas, capturing each property’s unique features and creating images that really make them pop. I can’t wait to bring out the best in these beautiful vacation homes!
