Sue
Sue is a vital member of the team, responsible for administration and supporting with guest services. If you are a guest, you might find yourself speaking with her when you make a booking or need help. Homeowners are likely to speak with Sue when you have an admin query.

Favorite Disney Character: Sleeping Beauty. I just love the film.
Favorite theme park: Universal. The rides suit me better. They are more for adults and the queues are shorter!
Favorite theme park ride: Men in Black at Universal. I like that it’s on the ground. And it’s a lot of fun – you drive around shooting each other!
Favorite local attraction: Downtown Orlando. Lake Eola Park is such a nice place to be. On Sunday, they have a fantastic farmers’ market. And I like to go out on the swan boats on the lake. There are lots of nice restaurants and bars around the area.
Favorite local restaurant: Seasons 52 on Sandlake Road. It has a nice vibe. They change the menus seasonally and there is a fabulous bar area.
Top packing essential: My hair straighteners!
Best travel tip: Take lots of spending money.
Favorite vacation home feature: A swimming pool. It has to be.
Fun fact about me: I’m from Birmingham, England, originally. I’ve lived in Florida for more than twenty years now. When I first moved to the USA, I ran a British themed café. We served up afternoon teas to Americans and good old bacon butties to the Brits!
Most rewarding part of my job: It’s really satisfying at the end of the day when I know I have got everything sorted out for everyone.
ABOUT SUE
Tell us a little bit about yourself Sue?
I love travelling but Florida is definitely my home now. I have three children and four grandchildren who also live in Orlando. I love to spend time with them.
Why did you move Stateside?
We followed my in-laws. They sponsored us to be here. My sister-in-law still lives in New York. But I wanted to be somewhere with nicer weather – somewhere I could have a swimming pool and blue skies!
How long have you been with White Rose Villas?
I have been working with the White Rose Villas team for five and a half years. I started off as a house inspector and, when COVID hit, I moved to a more office-based role.
I did enjoy my time as a house inspector. I am a little bit OCD – so I like to make sure everything is perfect for the guests.
I think my time as a house inspector has stood me in good stead for my role now because I know all the homes really well. When someone asks me a question about a home or its facilities, I can answer them authoritatively.
What experience do you bring to your role at White Rose Villas?
I have a lot of experience doing administration both here in Florida and in the UK. When I lived in the UK, I used to run my own driving school.
What do you love about working at White Rose Villas?
There is a lot of variety in my role now – every day is different and that makes it interesting.
Working from home can be quite lonely, but that’s not the case at White Rose Villas. We have a really good team here and we all work together well.
We have daily team meetings to discuss what needs to be done each day and we are in touch with each other throughout the day. The Orlando team gets together occasionally for team breakfasts, which is great. And we always go out with Lisa when she’s over. I really appreciate the personal support Lisa has given me over the years.
What do you hope to bring to the role in the future?
I’m on the road to retirement now – but I don’t want to retire yet! I will be gradually scaling back my hours, but I hope to continue to play my part in making sure all our guests have wonderful stays.
