Flavia is our business development manager. She’s the one spearheading our growth. She works with all the teams across our business to ensure that we’re all pulling in the right direction to ensure a strong foundation for growth and a bright future for our business, our homeowners and our guests.
FLAVIA FACT FILE
Favorite Disney Character: I don’t really have a favorite Disney character. For me, my hero is my father. He passed several years ago, but everything I am today I owe to him. He was my rock. He inspired me to be humble, to appreciate things, and impressed on me the importance of education – and he inspired my love and respect for the ocean.
Favorite theme park: I live in Jacksonville now, over a hundred miles north of Orlando’s theme parks. My recommendation for a great day out is Jacksonville Zoo. I love animals and Jacksonville Zoo is one of the best zoos in the country, with very high welfare standards. It’s a good way to enjoy the seeing the animals.
Favorite theme park ride: Rides are not my thing! My Dad took my three sisters to Disney when I was twelve and, even then, I didn’t want to go! I preferred to spend my vacation on the beach!
Favorite local attraction: Any beach in Florida! But especially Flagler beach on Florida’s Atlantic coast. It’s peaceful, clean and the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the ocean.
Favorite local restaurant: I love buffalo wings and my favorite local restaurant is Hurricane Wings in Jacksonville. But, really, I am a bit of a homebody and would prefer to stay at home and cook Italian – ideally, some seafood pasta. Being able to stay in and cook is another reason why the vacation home setup really appeals to me.
Top packing essential: Advil!
Best travel tip: Pack light.
Favorite vacation home feature: I love the whole concept of the vacation home. It’s a home away from home. If you are travelling with family or friends that home away from home feeling can’t be beaten! I can cook what I want. It’s a cool thing.
Fun fact about me: I love my job. I love the industry I’m in. I work really hard. But I’m also really good at doing nothing! I am quite self-sufficient and I like spending time with me.
Most rewarding part of my job: Building a strong team and developing the people I work with. Helping them grow and building a great team is fundamental if you’re going to achieve your business goals.

Hi Flavia! Tell us a bit about yourself.
I love Florida, especially the beaches. It’s the only US state I want to live in!
What do you bring to the role at White Rose Villas?
I have 27 years’ experience working in the hotel industry. I’ve worked with big brands, big resorts and small independents in Brazil and across the USA. Over that time, I’ve been in charge of developing teams, maximising revenues, controlling inventories and managing sales channels.
Which location was your favourite place of work?
My first job in South Beach Miami in the 1990s and early 2000s was very special. It gave me the experience, opportunity and knowledge to open the door to greater things. I worked there for 12 years, starting out on the front desk. When I left, I was the Director of Revenue. To this day, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity they gave me – they are a big part of my professional growth. My boss there taught me so much. Whenever I am in Miami, I always visit.
What is your role at White Rose Villas?
As Business Development Manager, it’s my job to keep the ball rolling regardless of any distractions. It’s easy to get pulled into operational issues, especially in a busy business like White Rose Villas, but it’s important to always keep an eye on the future and how the business is developing.
What do you love most about your job?
It isn’t routine – there are different tasks on different days. My day might be checking our homes are listing properly, checking systems, supporting the reservations team or working closely with operations – and that’s exactly why I love my job!
How do you see the role developing?
I’m excited to build the team. Staffing is always a challenge in any sector but I think if you find people who are open, willing to learn and committed, you can teach the rest. Coaching and developing people is my passion.
I’m also excited to build the business. My motto is “you can make a wish or you can make it happen!”. And I’m committed to making it happen for White Rose Villas, our homeowners and our guests.
