Favorite Disney Character: Minnie Mouse. I just love her style: the ears and heels!
Favorite theme park: Universal Studios. I like the rides that make you scared. The scarier the better!
Favorite theme park ride: Hulk. It’s the biggest rollercoaster at Universal. It’s very scary and very long and I love it!
Favorite local attraction: Millenium Mall. It’s nice to walk around and shop.
Favorite local restaurant: I love Columbianita in Davenport. It’s a Spanish restaurant, not fancy but with great food. I’m from Ecuador and the cuisine is similar. I recommend the Vandeja Paísa: rice with sweet plantain, beans, sausage, eggs and pork skin.
Top packing essential: I prefer to travel light. Let’s grab a pair of sandals and go!
Best travel tip: Don’t fly! Drive! I like to drive. I once drove my kids to the Canadian border to see Niagara Falls. It was a 19-hour drive but it was worth it!
Favorite vacation home feature: I recently stayed in a wooden cabin in Georgia with gorgeous views of the mountains. That was really nice.
Fun fact about me: I love to dance. I dance everywhere (all round the house!) and to anything!
Most rewarding part of my job: I like to be busy and I like meeting people. In this job, I meet so many people. I love to tackle challenges and it always keeps me busy.

Hi Jessica! Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’m from Ecuador and I started my professional life in New Jersey. I moved to Florida in 2012 when I was employed by the Hilton Hotel Group to be an Executive Housekeeper and manage housekeeping inspections.
Tell us about your role at White Rose Villas?
I’m the housekeeping manager at White Rose Villas, so I control all the cleans that happen. I ensure everything is completed on schedule and to the right quality.
I also meet with the owners to agree the housekeeping standards and discuss ways we can improve the homes. I train the cleaners and make sure we have all the right processes in place. And I do walk-throughs of the homes and report any issues to the maintenance and operations teams.
What do you love about the work?
I really love this job. I love meeting the people; meeting up with my ladies and the guests.
I have 10 years of experience in this industry and I like the role and I love what I’m doing. White Rose Villas is a great place to work. It really works hard to provide a familiar and human service for guests and homeowners.
What do you bring to the housekeeping manager role?
I was trained by Hilton Hotel Group as a housekeeping inspector, so I work to the highest standards and expect the best from my team. I worked for seven years at Daytona Beach as an Executive Housekeeper in a Hilton apart-hotel.
When I moved from hotels to vacation homes, I brought my experience working to the highest standards and I aim to ensure the same standards are applied in our vacation homes. The work of the White Rose Villas housekeeping team is high-quality and consistent. The only difference is that we clean when the rooms are empty and the guests have checked out.
The important result is that the guest has a great first impression when they enter the home and the home is clean and comfortable.
Do you have words of advice for anyone thinking about a role in housekeeping?
You have to love what you do – and that’s especially true in this job because it can be really hard.
How do you motivate yourself when things are hard?
When I’m having a hard day or a busy day, I play some music as a distraction and that helps to keep me calm!
What is your own dream vacation?
I love to stay in the mountains. I reminds me of where I grew up. I would have no phones, nothing. Just enjoy a relaxing day!
How do you wish to develop your role with White Rose Villas?
I’m already taking on more responsibility. I’m learning the accounting software, so that I can also take on the responsibility to ensure that the cleans are delivered on budget as well as on schedule and to the right standard. This will help us to be more efficient and deliver even better value for our homeowners and guests.
